LMFAO concert & Cherry Blossom Festival

Sorry it has been awhile since I have updated. Last Saturday Molly, Alex and I went to the LMFAO concert. It was an amazing concert although it was only one of the performers because the other guy hurt his back. The concert was full of high energy performances that kept us dancing the entire time. All the American's were decked out in animal print and bright colors (including Molly and I), but of course the Korean's kept it classy and dressed to impress as usual. I am so glad I got to experience a concert in this country! The following day Alex let me borrow his bike and Tyler took me on a bike ride to Itaewon along the Han River. It was about a 20 mile bike ride but it was such beautiful scenery along the river so it did not even seem like a workout. This weekend was the Cherry Blossom Festival. We were told that there would be vendors and a long strip of beautiful cherry blossom trees (which are only in bloom for a two week period). We were also told that at night they light the trees up with different colored lanterns. Hearing this we of course wanted to see both so Whitney, Russ, Molly and I went around 5 so that we could enjoy both. We did see all the cherry blossom trees but I would not say that it was actually a festival, compared to what we call festivals back home. As we were walking along the Han river we saw a river boat tour and decided that would be fun to do so we jumped on board the next trip. It was an hour ride and included a beautiful water show from one of the bridges. This was an awesome experience and I will definitely be taking any visitors I have on a river boat tour. It was so beautiful to see the city lit up from the river. When we returned we walked back up to the cherry blossom trees and there definitely was not lanterns lighting up the tree but it was still beautiful to see the trees at night. There is another area in Olympic Park that is lined with cherry blossom trees so I will try to go this week to get some more pictures. Next weekend Molly and I will be going to stay at a temple for the weekend so stay posted for an update after our trip. I am really looking forward to experiencing life in a temple.
